CEDC believes that everyone deserves the right to live in a safe, decent and affordable home and dedicates itself to this mission. CEDC also believes in responsible homeownership which is why we offer free pre- and post-purchase homeownership education and engage in responsible lending through our Ventura County Community Development Corporation (VCCDC). Since VCCDC began assisting homeowners with loans more than 10 years ago, only two individuals have defaulted on their loans. CEDC and VCCDC were ahead of the curve on assisting people into responsible homeownership long before the foreclosure crisis happened, and our success story bears that out.
