Celebrating Daniel Dang, CEDC’s Star of the Quarter
We are proud to recognize Daniel Dang as CEDC’s Star of the Quarter for Q3 2025. Daniel is a steady, thoughtful force on our development team and someone who approaches every project with care, clarity, and a deep sense of purpose. His work moves our mission forward in ways that directly impact families, seniors, and farmworkers across our communities.
Daniel’s connection to affordable housing is personal. As a teenager, he watched his family lose their home during the housing crisis. That experience shaped how he sees stability, opportunity, and the role safe housing plays in a person’s life. It also set him on a path toward work rooted in justice and a belief that everyone deserves a place to call home. He carries that perspective into every meeting, every deadline, and every decision he makes.
As Senior Project Manager, Daniel guides projects through complex stages. He manages shifting timelines, coordinates with partners, navigates design and construction challenges, and keeps a close eye on the details that allow a project to stay on track. His colleagues often share how much they appreciate his calm presence and his ability to explain difficult concepts in ways that feel manageable. Daniel has a natural gift for breaking things down, making it easier for the whole team to move forward with confidence.
Mentorship is another place where Daniel shines. He supports junior staff by walking them through processes step by step, helping them understand why a detail matters, and giving them the space to grow. He is patient, thoughtful, and committed to helping the next generation of affordable housing professionals build their strengths.
One of Daniel’s proudest recent achievements is the completion of Dolores Huerta Gardens in Oxnard. The project had a long road before reaching the finish line, and seeing families walk through the doors of their new homes was a moment that reminded him why he chose this field. Watching farmworker families settle into safe, stable housing was meaningful for him and for all of us who know how hard the team worked to bring that project to life.
Daniel reflects the heart of CEDC’s work. His leadership, empathy, and dedication strengthen the communities we serve, and his commitment to fairness and opportunity shows up in every project he touches.
We are grateful for Daniel’s contributions and proud to celebrate him as our Star of the Quarter. Congratulations, Daniel. This honor is well deserved.
