As we celebrate 45 years of bringing community home, I’m filled with gratitude for the residents, supporters, partners, and team members who have made this journey possible. This milestone gives us an opportunity to reflect on our impact while looking ahead to the future. Throughout our 45th anniversary year, we’ll be sharing stories that highlight the people, partnerships, and communities at the heart of Cabrillo EDC’s mission. Thank you for being part of our story. We’re excited to celebrate with you.

With Appreciation,

This year, Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (Cabrillo EDC) proudly celebrates 45 years of creating affordable housing and strengthening communities across Ventura County.

Since 1981, we have worked alongside residents, partners, and supporters to help families thrive and build brighter futures. What began as a vision to provide safe, affordable housing has grown into a lasting commitment to creating opportunities, fostering stability, and strengthening neighborhoods throughout the region.

Over the past four and a half decades, Cabrillo EDC has helped thousands of families access quality affordable housing and the resources they need to succeed. Every home developed and every community strengthened reflects the dedication of the people who believe that housing is the foundation for opportunity and well-being.

As we celebrate this milestone, we honor the visionaries who started it all and extend our deepest gratitude to the residents, staff, volunteers, donors, community leaders, and partners who have been part of our journey. Your support has been instrumental in advancing our mission and making a lasting impact throughout Ventura County.

While we take pride in reflecting on the past 45 years, we remain focused on the future. Cabrillo EDC is committed to expanding access to affordable housing, empowering residents, and building vibrant communities where people can thrive for generations to come.

Thank you for being part of 45 years of bringing community home. We look forward to continuing this important work together.

As part of Cabrillo EDC's 45th Anniversary celebration, we are excited to unveil our brand-new website, designed to better serve residents, partners, supporters, and community members.

Over the past 45 years, Cabrillo EDC has evolved to meet the changing needs of the communities we serve. Our new website reflects that same commitment to growth, innovation, and accessibility. With a fresh design, improved navigation, and updated resources, visitors can more easily learn about our affordable housing developments, resident services, community programs, and ways to get involved.

The new site also provides a more user-friendly experience across desktop and mobile devices, making it easier than ever to access information, explore housing opportunities, stay informed about upcoming events, and connect with our team.

This launch represents more than a website refresh. It is an investment in the future of our organization and the communities we serve. As we celebrate 45 years of bringing community home, we are also looking ahead to new opportunities to strengthen connections, expand access to resources, and share the impact of our work throughout Ventura County.

We invite you to explore the new Cabrillo EDC website and discover what is next as we continue building stronger communities together.

Roots & Roofs is Cabrillo EDC’s inaugural fundraising celebration, bringing together community leaders, partners, supporters, and neighbors to honor 45 years of strengthening communities through affordable housing, education, and opportunity.

This harvest market-inspired event will celebrate the deep roots Cabrillo EDC has established across the region while looking ahead to the opportunities still to come. Guests will enjoy interactive experiences, inspiring stories, and local flavors, all centered around a shared commitment to creating brighter futures for individuals and families.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit Cabrillo EDC’s scholarship program and the essential services that help residents thrive across the communities we serve. Join us as we celebrate our legacy, invest in the future, and help ensure that generations to come have the opportunity to succeed.
