Victoria es responsable de la supervisión de las funciones de la contabilidad, tecnología informática, administración de riesgos y activos. Ella administra la preparación y supervisión del presupuesto anual y supervisa la preparación de estados financieros de la corporación y sociedad comanditaria que son verificados por terceros. Victoria ha trabajado en el sector de la vivienda asequible durante más de 10 años y con Cabrillo por más de seis años.Ella tiene amplia experiencia en el campo de la promoción inmobiliaria, la construcción y la contabilidad requerida para la administración de propiedades. Antes de trabajar en Cabrillo, Victoria trabajó con una empresa nacional con fines de lucro promotora de vivienda asequible y a precio de mercado. Victoria tiene una Licenciatura en Ciencias en Contabilidad. Ella también ha sido acreditada por NeighborWorks of America como Especialista del Consorcio de Vivienda y Administración de Activos.
Giselle plays a key role in advancing the mission of affordable housing at CEDC. With six years of experience in the affordable housing sector, Giselle has gained extensive knowledge in financial management, project oversight, and community-focused development. Her impressive background in accounting, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, enables her to navigate complex financial structures and ensure that projects remain fiscally sound while meeting the housing needs of local communities. Throughout her career, Giselle has worked across various facets of affordable housing, from financial planning and budget management to supporting development teams in bringing projects to fruition. Her passion for affordable housing and her commitment to creating sustainable, inclusive communities are evident in her collaborative approach and hands-on involvement with each project.
Brenda is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 25 years of experience in the field. She holds both SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) and PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certifications, as well as an FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) underscoring her expertise and commitment to the HR profession. Prior to Cabrillo EDC, Brenda spent an extensive amount of time in the financial industry. She also worked in the agricultural and government industries. In her current role, Brenda is responsible for developing and maintaining an effective Human Resources department that aligns with the goals and objectives of her organization, Cabrillo EDC. Her leadership extends to the comprehensive development, implementation, and monitoring of organizational development plans. These plans encompass key areas such as internal communication, workforce development, employee retention, and performance management. Brenda is also dedicated to ensuring compliance with employment practices, meticulously compiling and analyzing data from federal, state, and local agencies as required. As a trusted advisor to the board and senior management team, she provides strategic counsel on HR matters, helping to shape the organization's direction and policies. In addition to her strategic duties, Brenda directs talent acquisition, recruitment, training, and development initiatives. She is a strong advocate for creating pay practices and administering cost-effective employee benefits that support both employee satisfaction and organizational goals.
Daniel Dang is responsible for the management and oversight of CEDC’s affordable housing development pipeline and strategy. He has more than nine years of experience in affordable housing and worked on 20-plus projects across the development timeline in the Bay Area, Los Angeles County, and Central Coast. Daniel started his career at CEDC as a senior project manager, where he completed two new construction projects and construction financing closings, secured more than 100 million dollars across CEDC’s pipeline, and was pivotal in navigating complicated project issues and timelines. Before joining CEDC, Daniel accumulated valuable project management experience at other affordable housing nonprofits such as A Community of Friends, Little Tokyo Service Center, and East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation. Daniel is a graduate of the LISC HDTI Training, UCLA Ziman Affordable Housing Development Program and the inaugural CCRH Organizational Leadership Program. Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, where he double majored in political economy and social work with a minor in city and regional planning.
Maria Elena became an integral part of CEDC in 2008. Maria Elena works closely with the CEO and CFO to ensure the owner’s goals are met for the properties and the PM Department. Maria Elena is responsible for the operations of the Compliance of the Property Management Department with a rental portfolio of 26 Tax Credit and USDA-RD Farm Workers communities with a total of approximately 1232 units in the County of Ventura. Maria Elena provides leadership and direction to management, compliance, and residents. Maria has 17 years of experience in the multi-family industry. She has worked in both tax credit and market rate properties. Maria Elena started her career as a Resident Manager at Courtyard at Harvard Apartments and Rodney Fernandez Gardens. Maria Elena held various positions within the same Company as a Resident Manager, Property Supervisor, Compliance & Audit Specialist, Compliance Manager, interim PM Director and then as a Director of Compliance. Maria Elena also has experience working with another non-profit Property Management company, but most of her affordable housing career, experience and knowledge has been with Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC). Maria’s strong property management background, knowledge, and experience in Compliance with the various affordable programs are an asset to the Property Management Division to ensure high quality management practices at CEDC’s housing communities
Denise trabaja estrechamente con el CEO (Director Ejecutivo) para apoyar el desarrollo de nuevas oportunidades comerciales, mejorar los sistemas internos para promover la comunicación y un funcionamiento eficiente, y desarrollar alianzas claves sin fines de lucro con organizaciones locales y regionales, negocios y agencias gubernamentales. Denise colabora con las divisiones operativas de CEDC para apoyar la expansión de programas y servicios comerciales, y el desarrollo de estrategias para mejorar la capacidad financiera y la eficiencia operativa. Antes de unirse a CEDC, Denise asesoraba a las agencias de California y Nevada sobre los programas de redesarrollo en su trabajo como directora de Keyser Marston Associates, Inc. Denise también fue Analista de Vivienda para Economic Development Agency en el Condado de San Bernardino, donde desarrolló e implementó un programa de marketing para programas de prevención de ejecuciones hipotecarias. Bianca is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a strong dedication and extensive experience in providing compassionate care and support to individuals facing mental health challenges. Bianca is responsible for coordinating on-site services across the Cabrillo EDC development portfolio, ensuring high quality and effective programming towards the overall mission fulfillment of the organization. Bianca oversees the team of clinical services and community engagement services being provided to Cabrillo EDC residents.
Graduating from University of Southern California with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and completing a Criminal Justice bachelor’s degree at California State University East Bay, Bianca has worked in various settings. Including her time working with Los Angeles Department of Mental Health with teens/adolescents at-risk of suicidality/homicidally and her experience at Ventura County Behavioral Health as a bilingual clinician, serving adults with severe and persistent mental health disorders. Bianca's dedication to empathy and evidence-based practices encapsulates a role in empowering the residents and advancing individual autonomy.
